Silver Metro did not have a Silver Lining!

We went here on a team lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. The place is shaped in the the forma of a metro and is painted silver .Thus the name :)

Location:
The restaurant is situated in Madivala on the top floor of Total.  The place is a pick for team lunches as its easy on the budget .

Ambiance:
The place is quite normal nothing to go gaga on.It s quite average !

Quality of food:
Food was okay ! There were dishes that were good .But in total I would neither say it was terrific nor horrendous.

Value for Money:
The Lunch buffets are priced at Rs 350 (Excluding tax). They have a great range of dishes that they provide for the money .A lot of variety for the price so I say Thumbs up in the Value for Money aspect of it.

In total ,A decent place ! A good option for corporate lunches!

My Verdict : 2.8

Balle Balle In style !!

Punjab Grill is located at one of the busiest junctions in Bangalore Which is popularly know as Forum Junction.I do honestly feel the place is highly overrated but having said that these are my thoughts of the place .

Ambience:

Overall the place is posh .A mention to the the uniforms the staffs are dressed in.
They have a really nice waiting area where they serve you with Paan shots.

Quality of service:

I would say the women staff are not very welcoming enough .
Otherwise the staff are always busy catering to everyones needs with a smile .
Once the chef on being aware of how my friend was disappointed with a curry served the bunch of us with desserts on the house.

Taste :

My favorite dish here is the Chicken Kurkuri .*Drooling even now* Its a great dish .The way its plated up in 4 testube like dishes with a sauce at the bottom .It s outstanding .
Even otherwise the dishes are good .

One negative dish for me would be "Pakhore de Allowala Kadhi" It could be done better for sure.

Price:

The place is posh so yes the prices are high .Its on the highend side of the radar .
Though the service charges are just bewildering as they charge a humongous amount on taxes
which is bizzare as those are the taxes you would expect in a 5 star .

Punjab Grill is a place one should visit .It s ideal for family and friends.

My verdict : 3.5

Bakasur - A visual Treat !

We were hungry and were looking for a place to eat on our way back from work near Bellandur Thats when we spotted this huge board-"Bakasur" .We were not confident as the place was new and we had never really heard about it.

Location :
Situated  in Bellandur .It s refreshing as the number of hotels on that stretch of road are minimal.
On the 4th floor of a building .We were quite surprised at how huge the place is. Its on the the terrace and is
very breezy .

Ambience:
There's soft music playing in the background .A lot of smiling staff waiting to happily serve to the needs of the guests .There were many people there as well .Many who were on Team dinners. There are numerous plantations so that's a positive for me.

Quality of food:
The food however was a disappointment as the place has built up a lot of expectations by the time food was served. The Dal Makhani was so -so .Prawns Tikki were a little undercooked for me.
The Methi subz masala was prepared well .It was a great match for the Palak Puris that I had ordered.
Oh yes! Do try the Palak Puris .It s sovery well done that it had a homely touch to it with a touch of Ajwain.
Having a sweet tooth I was looking forward to the ghee jalebi but I was not able to satisfy myself as it was sweet to the point where I had to leave it midway.Having said that The Jalebis were crisp as it should be .I would suggest it be a little less sweeter.

It s a place which can be visited once .I am not sure if I would go back but if stuck in that area ,this place is a choice that I would make.

My verdict : 3

Saviour for my lazy days !

I spotted my favorite Delivery place  on Zomato.Always rescues me on the days that I dont battle it out of bed .Chalo punjab has a very widespread menu .

Key aspects to be noted:

Delivery time :
within 15 - 20 minutes which is fast.

Quality of food:

Simple and Homely .Malai Kofta Harra Pyaz and Makai Kumb de Palak .
What I love is that on describing to them what you are in the mood to eat ,they suggest what would be best
and their choice always surprises me pleasantly because its noteworthy that they pay attention to the detail of your choices. It works for me .So you guys should try it as well.

Value for Money:

I would say its great .They serve a lot of quantity. Its always too much and I end up refrigerating the rest .

I have never been here to eat .So I cannot vouch on how the space and ambience is which is why I am leaving it out for you to discover :)

But especially for those living in Koramangala ,If you are hungry and craving for North Indian the number
to dial is (080) 41105666.Let them bring a smile on to your faces and your pockets will be pinch less :)

My Verdict : 3.5

*the rating is for delivery standards and not for eat out dinners or lunches :)

The Popular Pub of Bangalore and Rightly so !

Plan B is one hangout place in Bangalore which is full at anytime of the day .On weekends there are chances you might end up waiting outside .

 Location:
Located on castle street .Being on an inner road makes it quite peaceful and prone less to the constant   honking of vehicles.

Ambience:
Plan B instils the feeling of being in a pub in the states. I personally love the interiors done and the owner has shared his story of how a California Pub had inspired him to start this place.Rock music playing in the background adds to the flare.

Quality of Food:

RED HOT !
The chicken wings here are an amazing treat. They are done with multiple sauces . I vouch for ABS but be warned its very spicy  but is awesome and worth a try . Another highlight is "The Animal" which is a humongous burger and they have a challenge wherein whoever finishes the former goes up on the hall of fame .Pretty cool rite! The desserts are simple yet appealing .They keep changing them for variations.

Quality of  Service:

The service is good ! the people are friendly and the owner is an extremely friendly guy who takes time out to socialize.

Value for Money:

All the dishes are priced right in comparison to many pubs that I know of .Nothing too high and this place is well within budget for students as well .

I love going here and would advise you to if you havent been here as it totally worth your money!
Cheers :)

Toit Brew Pub..

First thing you notice when you step into Toit is that the place is huge and so very magnificently built.Perfectly located on the 100 ft road. This area deserved something like Toit.

The place is perfect for a hangout with friends . Only thing that maybe bit off is how absolutely crowded it is on a Sat night.

I will summarize the key aspects :

Ambience : This place has wooden flooring and is gigantic! They have 4 non smoking sections and one smoking section with a large screen to appease the sports fans.

Food : The food is good .I would say they have their ups and downs .
But there are some dishes I would advise you *Not to* buy .
Vegeterian Mousakka is a complete turn off .Mushroom Bites and Glazed Chicken steak are excellent .
For desserts "Toit Chocolate Cake " deserves a standing ovation.

Drinks : They are spot on on the taste. The beers are refreshing and the taste lingers for a while even after the drink. These are on high demand so better get there fast to get a taste of it.

Value for money : I say the service the food and the beer are quite good so yes ! its not overpriced .

My personal favorite is "The Dark Knight"
The Oriental Chicken Pizza is good. Thin, crunchy crust with loads of good chicken and veggie toppings with Thai sauce.I am not a Pizza fan so on the radar that I usually score Pizzas this one gets a 3.

My Verdict  : 3.7

The village as the name suggests is primitive !

A friend suggested "The Village " for a Lunch Buffet.Thats how we ended up here!

Location:

The place is situated at Jayanagar .Its done quite nice Covering a large area.
We chose to sat in as it was hot .

Ambience:
Not very appealing for me!The insides were like any restaurant I had visited with my folks back in the days .

Quality of food:
I was not satisfied by the dishes served for the buffet .There was a range to choose from but at the end was not appealing for my palette.

Quality of service:
The staff was disorganized .One of them was obnoxious when asked for an extra serve of ice cream as the desserts that was supposed to be a part of the buffet was being served separately like how its done in hostels. That was very appalling!

On whole a horrible experience. I would never go back unless I am tied up and forced (Pun Intended)

My verdict : 2.4
